Beginning January 31, 2024, security questions will no longer be accepted as a valid multi-factor authentication (MFA) method for verifying your identity when logging into the SF City Partner website. This solution article provides Bidders and Suppliers instructions on how to change your MFA method from security questions to another authentication method.
Follow the steps below to change your security question MFA to another authentication method.
Step 1. Click Log In on the SF City Partner site (CCSF Supplier Portal).
Step 2. Enter your username, password, and answer your security question.
Step 3. Click your username located on the top right and select Change Password/MFA.
Step 4. You will be asked to log in again to verify your identity. Repeat the same steps under Step 2, and proceed to Step 5.
Step 5. You will arrive at MyApps. Click the Multi Factor tab, access the menu in the blue box, and select from any of the four MFA options.
Step 6. In this example, we will select the Add Mobile Number option to send a One-Time Password (OTP). Enter your mobile number and click the Send OTP button, and you will receive a passcode on your mobile number to enter and proceed with the remaining steps.
Step 7. Enter the code you received on your mobile phone and click the Verify OTP button.
Step 8. The system will confirm that you've added your MFA option successfully.
Step 9. Confirm that you've updated your MFA options by clicking the blue menu button and selecting Change Default. You should see your updated MFA options.
Step 10. Although Security Questions may be available for selection, DO NOT select this option to avoid login issues after January 31. Instead, select your newly added MFA option as your default authentication method.
Step 11. The system will confirm that you've changed your default MFA successfully.
Step. 12. Logout. Clear your cache and log in again to verify your new default MFA method.
