The SF Employee Portal has retired! SF My Hub is now available, bringing your employee payroll, benefits, expenses, and learning data to SF | My Portal. See our SF My Hub flyer attached to this solution article, in case you'd like to share a quick reference sheet with your department employees!
SF People & Pay, SF Learning, SF Financials, SF Procurement, SF Budget, and SF Reports & Analytics are now available in MyApps. Advise users to clear their cache to see the reconfigured MyApps page, which now includes their Power User tiles.
Reminders about Power User access
As presented during the Power User webinars, the point of access to their daily work shifted to MyApps, but the applications themselves and their roles remain the same. Additionally, although they will always see their Power User tiles on MyApps, they can access their Power User features only if they are logged in internally while physically at work or via VPN. See the screenshots below for more information about internal vs. external access as a Power User of SF People & Pay, SF Financials, or SF Procurement.
Below, you'll find the recording and our answers to the questions asked during the SF My Hub Webinar for City Department IT Helpdesk Teams that the Controller's Systems Division and the Department of Human Resources hosted on April 8, 2025. You can find the slide deck we presented attached at the bottom of this article.

Questions & Answers
Access
Q. How can I get to SF | My Portal?
A. You can reach SF | My Portal through employee.sf.gov. The site is live now, but our SF My Hub tile will not be available on that site until we launch on April 21.
Q. I don’t see the tiles in MyApps. Where do I open tickets for access?
A. The Power User tiles in MyApps will be available starting April 21. If you still have questions about access on or after April 21, please email [email protected].
Q. Will MyApps.sfgov.org remain unchanged for Helpdesk Admins? For example, will they still be able to reset passwords and MFA settings?
A. Your current access in MyApps as a Helpdesk Amin will remain the same.
Features & Functionality
Q. Why is Direct Deposit not available externally (without VPN)? Employees may not feel comfortable bringing their banking information onsite just to make changes.
A. To clarify, employees do not need to be physically at work to update their Direct Deposit information. Employees can access this feature from home through VPN. This is not a new requirement—it follows the same security measures that were in place with the SF Employee Portal. Employees must be logged in via VPN or onsite to update Direct Deposit details.
Technical & System Issues
Q. Is Edge the preferred browser for My Portal? Will that continue with My Hub?
A. We recommend using Chrome, Firefox, or Edge for the best experience. Make sure your device and browser meet the IT readiness guidelines outlined in our How to meet our required system specifications solution article. Additionally, removing the extra portal layer should help address prior browser-related issues.
Support
Q. Will a [email protected] alias be added?
A. Our user support contact information remains the same: [email protected] and 415.944.2442.
Training Resources
Q. Will the recording be available after the meeting?
A. Yes, we’ll send an email announcing the availability of our webinar solution article, which will include slide deck, Q&As, and the webinar recording. Keep an eye out for our communications when it becomes available.
