The Department of Human Resources (DHR) offers classroom courses to City & County of San Francisco (CCSF) employees. Employees can enroll into these courses and request the approval of their enrollment by following the steps below.
Step 1. CCSF employees can begin the process of enrollment by visiting SF | My Portal and clicking the Individual Learners or Management Training link under the Classes and Training menu.

Step 2. Review the list of classes on the Individual Learners or Management Training page. Select your class of interest and click the Enroll link to see more information about the course.

Step 3. Review general information about your selected class, such as your course's date, time, and seat availability. Click the Enroll link to begin the enrollment process, and the system will initiate a request for approval.

Step 4. An Enrollment Confirmation lets you know that the system forwarded your enrollment request for approval.

Step 5. SF Learning will send a confirmation to your business email address notifying you that your request is pending approval.

Step 6. You can also verify the status of your request anytime by viewing your course under the Current tab of your My Learning. For more information about accessing My Learning, see our How to access your Learning homepage solution article.

Step 7. Your enrollment request requires the approval of your Supervisor (based on Reports To information), Department Personnel Officer, and Department Finance Approver. The Approvers will receive notification when there is a Learning Request pending their approval. After all approvals are complete, you will receive an email notification informing you that your course enrollment has been approved.

Step 8. Your enrollment status will update from 'Pending Approval' to 'Enrolled.'

About email notifications
SF Learning sends notifications to your business email address. Check your spam folder if you cannot find your confirmation email. If you are still unable to find your confirmation email, contact your Department IT to verify the email address in the Citywide Active Directory. They may have to update your email if you completed the request process, but did not receive the notification in your current work email inbox.
