Purpose: This document provides steps and information for creating a PO in a new fiscal year by copying from a closed PO from the previous fiscal year.
Description: Departments must review closed POs from the previous fiscal year before creating a new POs in the new fiscal year to validate that the details of the POs are accurate and the POs were issued by their department.
How to View a Closed PO
A PO that has been closed isn’t viewable on the Maintain Purchase Order page (Navigation: Main Menu > Purchasing > Purchase Orders > Add/Update POs). The PO Status for closed POs is Compl and the Line Status is Closed.
1. Navigate to: Main Menu > Purchasing > Purchase Orders > Review PO Information > Purchase Orders
2. Click the Find an Existing Value tab
3. Enter the PO ID in the PO ID field
4. Click Search
