Access Based on:

Data Governance
1. Maintaining high quality data is the responsibility of those who enter the data – you!
2. Only those who ‘own’ the data know if the data is accurate
3. All data affects “downstream" users of that data
4. Single source for data means one source of truth
Security
1. Department-specific access - users can only see data from their department
2. Give users access to specific pages in the system
3. Determine user read/write access for pages - some users view the information while others add new data
Understanding Navigation
1. Based on security driven by functional responsibilities, access to data will differ.
2. Basic navigation will begin from the SF People & Pay tile under your WORK LINKS of the SF Employee Portal People
3. After clicking the SF People & Pay tile, the default homepage and all available homepages are based on your security
4. Click a tile from one of your homepages to access the Navigation Collection. Links to pages available under your NavCollection are also based on your security

Visit the SF Employee Gateway at https://sfgov.org/sfc/employee-gateway and click the blue tile to access the SF Employee Portal
Click the SF People & Pay tile under your WORK LINKS sub-tab of MY LINKS
