How to submit a request to update Reports To information for 10 or more positions in SF People & Pay.

Follow the steps below to submit a mass request to update Reports To information in SF People & Pay.

Step 1. To review your department's current Reports To data, access the Reports To dashboard from the SF People & Pay - Workforce section of your homepage in SF Reports & Analytics. If you have employees with multiple jobs, note that the report will only pull your employee's Primary Job.

Step 2. Use the filters and export the results to an Excel file for the best data format.

Step 3. Review your spreadsheet which contains three sections:

  • People & Pay Employee - contains basic employee information, e.g., Emplid, name, position.
  • People & Pay Current Reports To - lists your employees' current Reports To data. Unless your department previously updated this data with non-direct supervisors due to your department's unique expense approval needs, this section will list your employees' direct supervisor information.
  • People & Pay Reports To Corrected - This section is blank for your completion. Enter your employees' updated Reports To information in this section.

Step 4. Delete rows from your spreadsheet where you did not update Reports To information.

Step 5. Review your spreadsheet and attach it to an SF People & Pay Support Request, selecting the 'Reports To Data' value from the How can we assist field of the service request.
