Overview:
This article provides step-by-step instructions (with images) for users who have already registered for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and need to update their password, email address, or MFA settings.
Steps to Reset Your SF MyApps Password or MFA Information:
Step 1: Sign in to the SF MyApps Portal
Go to https://myapps.sfgov.org
Enter your Username and Password, then click "Agree & Sign In."
- Username: Your Employee ID/DSW (Disaster Service Worker) number, located on the back of your employee badge.
- Password: The same network password you use to sign into your computer and email.
Step 2: Verify Your Identity with MFA
After signing in, you will be prompted to complete Multi-Factor Authentication using one of the methods you previously set up:
- Mobile app (such as Microsoft Authenticator or similar)
- Secure code sent via text (if you registered a mobile number)
- Answer to your previously set up security questions
Step 3: Access the MyApps Portal to Make Changes
Once MFA is verified, you’ll be taken to the MyApps Portal. From here, you can update your:
- Password
- Email Address
- MFA Methods
