Grants Management: Updating Professional Data


Purpose: This document explains the procedure for updating the Professional Data for an employee. 

Updating Professional Data: An employee must be designated as a Principal Investigator, Pre-Award Administrator or Post Award Administrator on the Professional Data page before they can be selected on the Grant Proposal and Award Profile. Employees designated as Principal Investigator are available for both the Proposal and Award Profile. Employees designated as Pre-Award Administrator are available on the Proposal, and employees designated as Post Award Administrators are available on the Award Profile.

Role: The Grants Approver role has access to update the Professional Data information.


Step 1: On the Financial homepage, select the Grants tile.


Step 2: The Copy Proposal Search page will appear by default. Select Professional Name & Address in the Manage Awards folder.



Step 3: The Professional Data Search page will appear. Enter the target employee’s DSW or name and click Search.



Step 4: Under the Misc. Info section, select Eligible PI, Pre Award Administrator, and/or Post Award Administrator as needed to make the employee eligible for selection on the corresponding fields on the Proposals and Award Profiles. Click Save.
